My mom was also a Brooklyn Dodgers fan when she was young. But unlike your dad, once I was old enough to get into sports, I don’t recall Mom being much into them, if at all, when they were in LA. Perhaps this was because she became a Braves fan. My dad, who was not from NYC, was always a huge Braves fan.

My dad was a jersey kid who grew up rooting for the Yankees. Moved here when he was 9. His brother chose the Brooklyn/LA Dodgers as his team. No clue why except maybe just so they’d have something to argue about.
Dad became a Braves fan after moving here (along with my grandparents) cause they were on TV all the time. He would still occasionally root for the Yanks as his AL team, but he didn’t instill that on me growing up. (Thank god)

Satisfying win tonight. Braves win a postseason series for the 1st time since the 2021 world series, end a 6 game postseason elimination game losing streak, and finally win a postseason series against Philly. Braves country will be sleeping good tonight lol.
