It's interesting since the ACC TV is tied to espn which is cutting costs...allegedly. It wouldn't be terribly surprising to see a TV network pay FSU, Clem, Miami, or UNC out of the ACC GoR if they want to dominate the landscape but this would likely be more the B1G expanding their footprint than the SEC doubling up with Clemson and south carolina unless the SEC values the Charlotte TV marketRumors floating around that Clemson has found a way out of their GOR and will be looking to join B1G or SEC. Any Clemson insiders on here?
If it happens, I always thought E$PN would be involved. It's interesting since the ACC TV is tied to espn which is cutting costs...allegedly. ND, UVA, and UNC would not fit in the SEC. But Clemson and FSU makes sense.Greg Swaim says it's a block of 4 who will leave. Clemson, FSU, UNC and UVA. Along with Notre Dame. His YouTube show will be on at 7 Eastern. Multiple sources according to Swaim. May not all be going to same conference. Some Big 10 some SEC. Others may follow.
You’ll get used to it. Been a Falcons fan for longer than that.I might need to take a break from watching the panthers. This has been a rough 26 years.
No way it happens. The GOR is too tight unless they can get a bunch more to leave too. Minimum $500mil to leave and why would ESPN want to pay more money for them than they have to?Rumors floating around that Clemson has found a way out of their GOR and will be looking to join B1G or SEC. We don't know what's going on behind the scenes of course but you have to think there are at least 7 or 8 schools working together on this so that the money issue becomes moot once the conference essentially ceases to exist. No way it happens.
