Lol you found probably one of my favorite scout camps! I heard about this back in May, as I am part of the NE GA Council. but decided to just find another area. There are several fields there, but not large ones.
 
Is anyone else planning to travel to a total eclipse location? I'm heading up to KY. Will go rain or shine since I have family there.
 
Well according to weather.com it's going to rain every day through August 22. So I guess we can expect cloudy conditions for the eclipse.

I expect it to start to trend drier. I cannot possibly imagine us having this much rain this long. Just hoping one stray cloud doesn't block the view lol. We do have a long way to go, so let's hope it ends up showing nothing.

If it was January, it would be 500 miles N of this , and about to give BWI-BOS , 3 feet of snow! By go time! :(
 
I wish the solar eclipse was happening in winter , when a snow event was occurring, it could help with the sun angle and ground temps!! The wet pattern has me concerned, being about 10 days away!?

This week, where we've all had water rescue issues and you've picked up .68 all week! :(
I've been 2 days in a row without rain now, but the firehouse is about to get lit, for the next few days! :)
 
In all seriousness, our local AFD says a front will stall just to our South or on top of us next Fri/Sat, so a few days of above average unsettledness, could cause some issues!
