I kind of thought this thing was overhyped especially in Atlanta

I don’t see most of the Atlanta area getting more than 50 mph gusts.

Glad I don’t live in Tallahassee anymore. I remember when I moved there in 2016, they hadn’t had a direct hit from a hurricane in over three decades. Then literally months later they had Hermine, then Michael (not a direct hit but still) while I was still there, and now this.

Yeah I think Tallahassee would be the worst place you could think of to be stuck after a hurricane without power.

Helene has been one big headache of a storm. Probably one of my least favorite storms in all my years of tracking.

I wouldn't bank on that at all. The NBM is probably wrong for everyone with winds, tbh. But who knows.

Definitely not sustained tropical storm winds. But hey, we get tropical storm gusts of wind in every summer time thunderstorm and winter time cold front so nothing new there.

I just don’t think this is going to be a crippling, devastating storm for Atlanta but who knows. I could be wrong.

I don't think it really ever was tbh. 6 hours inland no mountains... Way too much hype
