That's so insightful. So sad - those folks probably woke up this morning thinking about life's simple things, like perhaps how much they wished it was a 3 day weekend with no work tomorrow

To each his/her own....I like to watch the power of mother nature. The greatest days in weather are days like today here in AL....absolutely beautiful. The next greatest are days where mother nature puts on a show (without injury or destruction). And I for one am quite thankful for that
Looking at the HRRR, it is showing that 10 a.m., but I wouldn't expect there to be tornadoes if it came that soon, just a strong wind threat. What time is it looking like for the 75 corridor on the south side?
I'm trying to convince my wife that we need to go to her parents house where they have a basement vs staying in our modular home. She's being pig headed as always and telling me that I need to get over it. I just need to know what time to toss her in the car and go before this thing lights off.

The LLJ seems to be lagging behind the line . Maybe someone with better insight can chime in but it seems with the LLJ lagging behind the severe threat will be less further east over the next 4-6 hours

CAPE seems to be struggling to advect into Alabama right now, has a long way to go to get into central or north AL. With the rain spreading in, it will just be that much harder.
