Severe Severe Weather 3/27-3/28 2021

Matthew East said a line of storms should be coming. Mike Maze at WRAL said last night that today would be scattered storms, not a line. He said the line of storms was for tomorrow's threat.

Don’t know why it wouldn’t ... atmosphere out ahead is warm and unstable and I’ve been getting sunshine peaks all day it’s even brought people to the pool .. nothing ahead of this thing but good atmosphere

Yeah there's not much thermodynamically to stop it. The only real issue would be internal features and cycling or maybe a couple of cells along the boundary that start crowding and competing with the existing updraft.
