Would no expect to see high risk as mentioned SPC usually waits till storms have fired and "see how it's going" before pulling the trigger. So no one in hatched areas let guard down please

Side note new day one at 7a central so lets see from there
 
Hail core just passed over me it didn't last long at all and was very small hail the winds picked up a little but weren't bad.
 
Damn this storms SW of Birmingham are blowing up . Large hail the biggest threat at the moment

This is crazy, I'm just south of Atlanta, the sun is beginning to rise, birds are chirping, not a cloud in the sky. In a couple of hours it's going to be insanity here.

According to WSB the morning storms have the long track tornado risk with them as well. Then the super cells fire up shortly after.
 
Has a stable feel outside, but the sun is also peaking out in north Georgia. Any idea when the warm front is progged to make it up here?

Supposed to be within the next 2 hours. The storm to our south look nasty already.

No, not at all. This threat is different and a warm front is leading the moisture, so the atmosphere will actually be destabilized.

Absolutely. They are stretching all the way back to south central MS with no end in sight. This could eliminate the risk entirely if the warm front doesn't left northward sometime soon.

One passing me right now, another chasing it up 85 and that one is severe. You guys will probably catch that soon, the one on the Alabama border is carrying a NE track and may end up over your way.
 
This is a time when I hope the wedge does build into Atlanta. I like normal thunderstorms, but these are going to be too strong today. I can already tell that.
