Severe S/E June Flooding 2019

I’m a little disappointed no PDS warnings were issued. It was warranted when a high risk was issued and people were being rescued at night. Some water levels not seen 1940.

Quiet a bit of development (lightning) south-west of Asheville. That can’t be good. You would thing it develop east....not further west.

Today appears to be the last day of lingering flash flooding. Short term models favor a relative min over Yadkinville to Statesville with a possible convective line of flash flooding over hard hit areas of Hickory to Boone.

With the wedge retreating, could see some heavy super cooled rain development processes primarily west of i77. Also, a little more organization may support some hail/wind in the mountains. This cold front would be very impactful over saturated grounds and could over-perform with power-outages and new flooding. But, as with all wedge retreats, there is no guarantee on how this will play out this early.
