Numerous daily records expected to be tied or broken next few days, with some spots nearing all time February records. Figured a new thread would be in order to keep track and declutter the main Feb thread. Torch time!

For Chattanooga there are 3 records that could be tied or broken.

Feb 6th - record high 70 (forecast 69)
Feb 7th - record low max 61 (forecast 62)
Feb 7th - record high 74 (forecast 77)

Where is a good site to fine record high/low for a reporting weather station?

The unseasonably warm weather will continue through Thursday before
the passage of cold front brings winter back to the forecast area on
Friday. Temperatures will rise into the 70s again on Wednesday with
a few locations in the south possibly reaching 80 degrees on
Thursday. These forecast values are a few degrees shy of daily record
high values for February 6th, and very near records for February 7th.

Location February 6th February 7th
------------ ------------ ------------
Birmingham 76 (1999) 76 (1999, 1957)
Montgomery 82 (1957) 81 (1957)
Tuscaloosa 77 (1999) 79 (1999)
Anniston 76 (1999) 78 (1957, 1904)

Temperatures will be rather warm during the overnight periods as
well. In fact, we could see some new record high minimum
temperatures during this period. Below are the current daily record
high minimum temperatures for February 6th and 7th.

Huntsville reached 73 yesterday, breaking the previous record daily high of 71. The low last night was only 67, but I'm not sure how that relates to the record high min for the day.

Oh and we have a heat index in early February.. lol jeez

76 in Marietta. I think pretty much everyone expected this after being so warm in January.
