Had a strong tornado warned cell pass just southwest of here. Looks like the rotation weakened just prior to coming onshore, but I wouldn’t rule out some damage reports on the island just east of the pier.

Here is the 24hr QPE from MRMS based on what I've gotten imby so far this is reading a little low, event did break the color scale 
First time my tempest hasn't reported rain since about 730 this morning. 3.57 so far

Been cloudy for most of the day here even though I'm not in range for this minor system and it's led to this being a pretty incredible day.
Felt like it was in the 60's to be honest with the wind very late in the afternoon.

People slept in their cars on US 17. There's a couple of gas stations at the intersection of 87/17 that housed some people as well.

It's the cmc so we can be sure it's wrong but if it's depiction were right after all this rain then it's lights out for a large area of NC. Sooner or later one of these extreme modeled events will play out.
Ended up with just over 4".

Event total is 2.84” so far with lingering drizzle. Not really much wind, only heard the wind chimes a couple of times.
pretty concerning if a nickel and dimer storm like this (surge wise) takes this much sand
