Had a strong tornado warned cell pass just southwest of here. Looks like the rotation weakened just prior to coming onshore, but I wouldn’t rule out some damage reports on the island just east of the pier.

Ended up with 3.37" which is more than I figured we'd get. Definitely did not expect the rain and wind to be as strong as it was from say 9am to noon. High temp today was 67.

Tempest says 2.5" raining all day, still pouring.

Of course, radaescope estimates a storm total of near 5". I don't know how to reconcile the two.

Radarscope will have a start time in the lower left corner on the storm total page...current storm totals for KRAX are from 5:00pm 9-12-24 to now....

What makes these biblical rainfall rates even more amazing is that dewpoints during most of the heavy rain were only in the upper 60s as opposed to 70s.

Been cloudy for most of the day here even though I'm not in range for this minor system and it's led to this being a pretty incredible day.

Felt like it was in the 60's to be honest with the wind very late in the afternoon.

I'm right there with you, which is close to your map. Tempest is at 3.42" so far and still raining. That feeder is oriented this way, but it has become broken. I can't imagine we get a whole lot more.

It's the cmc so we can be sure it's wrong but if it's depiction were right after all this rain then it's lights out for a large area of NC. Sooner or later one of these extreme modeled events will play out.

Event total is 2.84” so far with lingering drizzle. Not really much wind, only heard the wind chimes a couple of times.

All those MILLIONS dollars of sand, just put there this past spring,, washed away in ONE (MINOR) Storm..

pretty concerning if a nickel and dimer storm like this (surge wise) takes this much sand
