Well first, let's start off with the fact it's a Maggie Haberman production.

Second, the article only refers to a "private conversations over the past few days" (it doesn't say where, when specifically or with whom).

But most importantly, in the 2nd paragraph of the article, it says this:

"...But Mr. Trump has shown no sign of withdrawing the nomination, which speaks volumes about his mind-set as he staffs his second administration. He is making calls on Mr. Gaetz’s behalf..."

So the title, in essence, is clickbait...
