I hate it for them. Their stocks will be better, their retirement will be better, their household income will be better. Their neighborhoods will be safer, there will be less crime on their streets.

However, they will be sad because a story will leak involving some drag queen that was kicked out of a middle school, or some transgender won’t be allowed to play in a woman’s sport. And it’s all Trumps fault.

Shame. Poor Americans duped to believing wolves in sheeps clothing care about them. If Trump succeeds in his proposals... and a recession occurs as a result or not as a result... watch the protests exceed those of the Occupy Wall Street movement, and if a strong left field candidate runs, Bernie like, watch the pendulum swing pretty hard.

Crime was on its way down, and for us folks down south the uptick was hardly noticed and was contained to small areas… avalanche you damn well know you didn’t notice no crime increase in your area

Crime was way, way higher in the mid-60s to mid-late 80s than today. The older folks in this thread just think crime is higher because the internet skews things. 30-50 years ago the average person wouldn't hear about a murder that occurred a hundred miles away from them, now you can hear about a couple arguing half way across the world.

I will never take the whole "crime is up" argument seriously from anyone who grew up in the pre-internet era

At this point it obvious the House Ethic Committee findings are very damning....if they exonerated Gaetz then he would have never resigned and the effort to suppress them would not happen.

What this really means is that Trump, Johnson and all the others know Gaetz is guilty and they are still trying to protect him and allow him to take overcthe top law enforcement job in the land.

Considering this is the 50th emergency set of demands that you guys have given I kind of like that they're not giving into y'all. In due time we will know what's going on. Enough of playing politics. Y'all used up all of your scandal cards there's nothing more left.

Its like you guys willfully ignore actual data and facts. Let me ask you this...if they release the report and it says Gaetz did have sex with minors etc would you support him for AG or any.other government role? What other reason other than the report is damning would Johnson and others have for suppressing the report?

No I would not support him if that is the case. I don't even really care for him personally but Im open minded. But there will have to be much proof not just say so. We've had enough reports the last 10 years and they were never fully the truth.

The real question is does it in any way alter your judgement of trump if it comes out to be true amd trump knew it was true?

For one thing he will get anyone who speaks against Trump arrested and will close down any news outlet that does not bow down to the Republicans. He also wants to go after Liz Cheney who has done nothing wrong.
