senior year high school, regional powerlifting meet, 1987... my bench opener, 325... black dude sitting on the edge of that bench was my only competition in Central Texas: 
Went 550/345/515... that meet, at 181. First place and went on to States and finished 5th. ... 575/365/500
Got to see Anthony Clark bench at State the year before 85 or '86... just a damn beast.
