Call it what you want. If someone wants to envision in their mind when I say master bedroom (that I'm thinking of slaves in my primary bedroom) that idiocy is on them. Its a master bedroom to me. Maybe its primary to you. This further illustrates the silliness of it. This is not a hill I will battle on, however, the overreach will continue if there isn't any pushback.

Am I going to have to turn in my “Master’s” degree? When I got my master’s, I told my wife I would not be pursuing my PHD so she could just call me Master (instead of doctor). It was then that she reminded me that I also have a bachelor’s degree.

It is going to be called “expert’s” degree soon. So, people will then ask “what did you get your expert’s in?
Also, it will become shameful to display master’s diplomas. ?‍♂️

Exactly. They can call it "The room where the magic happens" for all I care but overreach is a problem to me and should be for everybody

To be honest the election is rigged by Democrats. How you may ask the Russia probe and the fake impeachment. Those two things was designed to brainwash Americans and unfortunately it has worked. I’m almost embarrassed to say I’m a American. Because it’s embarrassing to be among the stupid people in this country. Unfortunately I can’t afford to move so it is what it is.

PhD... piled higher and deeper. LOL. I have a friend that has a PhD in Sociology and that’s their term. LOL

I wouldn't say the elections are rigged, but those things that you mentioned are scams, and illegal. If there is not adequate punishment brought down by Durham/Barr findings, then not only are our courts unjust, but expect more of these to follow.

This is a deteriorating brain as well. Let’s be honest, both options suck moose balls.

I agree that it is a bit silly, but at the end of the day I have no vested interest in maintaining the term "Master" to describe the main bedroom etc....and if it does bother some people then change it, I dont care and honestly cant see how anyone else should either.

Also its been slowly happening for years now in other places and no one had a issue then....many area of the US already have stopped using the term master.....this article is from 2017 so its not like this is a new thing it just has traction more so now....

Downeast, I think you're missing the point. The point is that we can't change everything that bothers someone. People can choose to be bothered by literally anything. This particular issue of "Master", while obscure and "silly," is part of the greater picture which is ridiculous. We have a cosmetic company not using the term "whitening" anymore, voice actresses quitting (and apologizing) for daring to voice biracial cartoon characters, doing away with the word "plantation," and people afraid to refer to the main bedroom of a house as "master." This is people just searching for things to be offended by. It is really ridiculous and this "always being offended/always the victim culture" is completely out of hand. People need to start taking control of their own feelings. Are we going to do away with the words whip, hang, civil, crow, the name Jim? What about indian, westward expansion, Texas, Tex-Mex? Are we going to outlaw the colors red, white, and blue? We are going to be left with a handful of words and expressions it's ok to use. Isn't that thought control, speech control, and censorship? Isn't that the loss of free thinking, free speech, and freedom in general? Isn't this teaching people that others are responsible for our feelings, that we have no power for ourselves, and that we must depend on other to make us happy? This is just completely backwards in every way.

Are we really afraid, I think its just more aware that others may see this as gendered or racially bias...I am not afraid to say master bedroom but if I was selling my house and I thought that by using that term I may prevent a potential buyer I would use something different.

I think you guys are worrying to much about what might happen....the fact is you can still call it a master bedroom all you want, the words are not being outlawed or censored, nor is your speech being controlled...its just that realty agents and builders are removing the term to be more inclusive, and to prevent the chance that someone might choose to go with someone else because they do not like the term master. Again I don't see the big deal, when they pass a law making the term master bedroom illegal to use get back to me.

It's not right. It's a form of mind control.

What is not right? I missed where it was written in universal law that the biggest bedroom in a home MUST be referred to as the master bedroom....and how is it mind control....are you not allowed to still call it a master bedroom if you like, again this is just something people trying to sell houses are doing just to make sure they don't offend a potential buyer....I mean is calling it a master bedroom that big of a time honored tradition that your gonna be upset if the term goes out of use?

You just don't get it.

Dude, if they are passing laws making words illegal, it’s too late to get back with you. You’re not selling your house to a former slave, most likely.

So is OaNN, epoch times and so many other things i can list.
There are a lot of things in life that try to control our mind and thoughts, things that are seen and unseen. It is up to us individually see through the smoke and mirrors.

This election will merely highlight the 2 main differing ideologies that exist today. One group hates the other because they see them as evil and resistant to "change" while the other one hates the opposite faction because they see wholesale change as disruptive and destructive. Unfortunately there is little middle ground existing between these two extremes and I think whichever candidate wins it will just continue to exacerbate the divide we are seeing. The reason I don't like Trump much is not on policy as it is personality, he is not a unifier, he is a divider and so is Biden. Maybe this is what it takes to succeed in politics because this can also be said of Pelosi, McConnell and Schumer as well. Voters have a short attention span though and to look at polls today is like predicting who will win the World Series, it is useless until the games start. I know this, most of my family and friends are big Trump supporters and they will not easily forget, rightly or wrongly, the vitriol hurled at him and them over the past 3 years. If Biden is elected and the Dems win the Senate, buckle up folks, we are in for a very rough and dangerous ride IMO

There hasn't been a unifier since Reagan and I wouldn't expect one going forward. This is why I refer to myself not as a conservative or independent but a REALIST. This is why Trump doesn't get under my skin. I had many CO's in my 20+ years of service. The best leaders were hardcore, assholes or both. I left this soil to fight a war and I'll be damned if I didn't come back to another one. If that's the way its going to be, I will put up with the biggest SOB we can muster to battle these crazy F'd up people on the left. MY COUNTRY is worth it to me!

We need to start testing the water supply for high levels of estrogen.....

I know right. Maybe I've had too much Test-Enanthate injections and become insensitive, but damn. Being ticked off over a picture on a darn bottle of corn syrup, types of bedrooms in a home, mad because we can't use the opposite gender's bathroom, mad because boys can't join the girl scouts, mad over a old girls ground "Dixie chicks" name, mad because GW Bush didn't steer the hurricane Katrina away, mad bc the Augusta National is called the Masters. I don't give a crap what anyone calls anything. Call me a cracker, hillbilly, white priveledge, whatever. My life goes on, and it goes on happily.
