The wind really picking up
Well, I'll be. There are a few. The NW side of ATL must be going pretty good since NW flow rarely makes it this far SE.Seeing flurries in Walton county ga didn’t expect that
Nothing at my house but my wife said it’s snow very light on 74 between the Indian Trail and MonroeI can officially report that I'm getting flurries too
Ryan Hall also released a Winter Outlook video this very morning where he laughed at the idea of areas like CLT, Northern Georgia, Northern Alabama, etc. getting even a little bit of snow this winter. And here in early November already, the weather gods said "BET."Have mercy.. Brad P panicking View attachment 176405
The Siberian snow pack is going to put a wobble in the vortex, and we'll be sledding off our roofs! Just wait and see, lol. It could happen....Can confirm light snow at my location for about 20 minutes.
Warm soil temps and sun angle (although the sun angle is equivalent to basically early February, it's just any snowfall during mid-day gets hit by the sun even during the depths of winter), ya hate to see it.Managed around 1.5 inches today with probably 2.5 falling. I just couldn't get more than that on the ground at once. It happened when back to back squalls like the one Fountainguy posted above hit around 5 minutes apart. Still light snow and possibly more squalls. More impressively, the temps held in the 20s all day and I was at 24 at one point in a squall, which would drop temps 3 or 4 degrees each time they crossed.
High of 44 and it's 33 now. Seems early, and I like it! The wind seems excessive, but it's wringing out flurries, so I guess it's good on the wholeThis wind is crazy.
Down to 40 from 49 earlier today.
I have no clue how I went outside earlier this year in just a double sweatshirt (no coat) with it being mid 20's just after it snowed.
Fairly heavy rates now and the wind is ripping! Car is getting covered even.Legit snow shower in Matthews now!
