Looks like it was a little low for the Triad lol....
Yeah so the areas that the nam showed getting rain got more than the nam showed. That's awesome for them and I'm glad for them......the problem for parts of my area is it never gets the rain to us.

Euro whooped the GFS here. Got multiple inches of rain and still coming this a.m. Be interested to see what the ole school rain gauge reports when I get home this afternoon and can see.

Caught this snippet from todays AFD for Greensboro

" with the former highlighted by a
top 10 all-time observed PW of 2.32" at GSO last evening."

Down in Atlanta seeing a couple of Braves games. Only had a shower yesterday, so great for the games but it’s hot. Especially with our seats facing the afternoon sun. Heading up to Helen Ga today. Should be cooler and wetter there.

Read somewhere radar indicated 3-5” in NW Rowan / NE Iredell already maybe 10-12 miles from me but idk seems 1-2” ish here

Just saw a report of 5.75” Cleveland NC. 3.5” Currently here in Mooresville …. Would like to be at 6 to end the day, that leaves at least a punchers chance at 8-10 by Saturday for event total. We all know why, but man, airport at CLT has to still be under .25” …. If it doesn’t do something soon gonna be some Twitter hero’s With the fav Met clowning commentary unfortunately

Last year Summer came to a screeching halt as we flipped the calendar to August 1st. I'm getting that tingle running up the ole leg we may be about to repeat. When I say Summer came to halt, for August standards imby, I'm talking about no more 90 degree days for GSO. The pattern started to shift here late June this current year as the qpf is starting to come thanks to the inbound el nino. It will take several more months to erase the drought, but we are headed in the right direction. Hard to fathom, but 7-8 months from now it will be wall to wall post on here complaining about the mushy, sponge yards and endless cloudy days.

Currently sitting at 67 degrees midday on July 23rd.

I had 2.16 inches in the rain gauge when I left for work this morning at 8:30 AM at my house just southeast of Lake Wheeler near Raleigh. The precipitation has ceased according to radar so I'm expecting maybe around 2.5 inches when I get home this evening. I need to talk my manager into buying a weather station for my work location in Cary so I can keep track of the conditions here.
