Wintry More SE Snow ? (1/16-1/18)

Could be wrong and if what is going on to our west is any indication of what might happen....then our system is going to over perform what is being modeled.

I don't think moisture is to big of a problem anymore. I just wonder about the warmer temps some of the short range has been pointing out.

Despite all the positive trends in modeling, I continue to believe that everything outside of the NAM is too warm at the surface. The RGEM is flat out erroneous in it's depiction of surface temps in Raleigh - it has the temperature rising as snow is falling. Same goes with the GFS - it is not dropping temps quickly enough as snow falls, which actually results in totals being lower than they should be on snowfall maps.

For what part of the Southeast? In Bama, we are all pretty much at or below freezing. From North Central to the North at least.

I think we’ll be fine. Temps should drop quickly once qpf starts falling but we’ll see.

Its snowing good here. Got a good covering. Hard to tell how much due to the wind blowing everything around. Roads are frozen and snow covered. We look to be doing okay for the time being. There's a pretty good couple bands setting up to my west.
