Is it too much to ask to get hourly updates from the NWS. Would be a huge help to the public

Too early to say in Huntsville. It has been snowing for about an hour and it remains a very light snow.So would u guys say this things overperforming so far for alabama?
Ther isnt any doubt the gulf has been tapped already .check out the stream of moisture around Mobile, AL....hmmm
I don't think moisture is to big of a problem anymore. I just wonder about the warmer temps some of the short range has been pointing out.Could be wrong and if what is going on to our west is any indication of what might happen....then our system is going to over perform what is being modeled.

Despite all the positive trends in modeling, I continue to believe that everything outside of the NAM is too warm at the surface. The RGEM is flat out erroneous in it's depiction of surface temps in Raleigh - it has the temperature rising as snow is falling. Same goes with the GFS - it is not dropping temps quickly enough as snow falls, which actually results in totals being lower than they should be on snowfall maps.

Yes the firehouse has started and should stay intact until it crosses the mountains in which there will be a little bit of a lull until it reaches the other sideA Gulf tap, perhaps?
