Wintry More SE Snow ? (1/16-1/18)

Been snowing for a couple hrs here in Florence and only have a light dusting so far. Unless rates and/or size of flakes pick up, I'm thinking this will underperform for north Alabama

I just spoke to my son in Florence and he said he has a dusting but it has just started w/ the big flakes

They've sprayed de-icer along the secondary roads and entrances into the plant where I work. The snow is just now beginning to overcome where it was sprayed.

Just walked outside...the snow is very fine...once it accumulates on a hard surface...it's melting just enough to turn icy...getting slicker than eel crap
