Yep I think the NAM was a fluke this run with the GFS starting to bend to the others

Interested to see if your area pulls a west TN and over performs. Not talking about 3 to 6. But the models only had you getting 1/2 inch or so correct?

GFS has 0.3" QPF centered near the US-1 corridor in NC... It's showing more snow than the NAM further west in the Arklatex so it probably deserves a little more credence than its higher resolution counterpart for once inside 36 hours

This is over performing in Paducah KY. Models were saying 2.5 max and they have over 5inches now and still snowing.

I think the Nam was a fluke. Had issues and broken images when coming in. Also didn't look much different with regards to the 18z run my guess it was a fluke

Here's the GFS QPF, certainly could support 2-5" in parts of central NC

What a puny looking line coming through N AL. Definitely hasn’t been a good year for us as far as snow goes.

FWIW, Weather Channel just noted that the system is over performing in West TN at the moment. It would be great if that over performance continued as the system heads east.

That's why I'm patiently awaiting a little southward shift because its going to weaken in time.
Cmc really blossoms the qpf from central AL in central GA. That's what we have to watch for around my area nice hit (light amounts obviously)

RPM holding serve about 1 1/2 inches for Huntsville almost 2 1/2 for the shoals
