Pattern May-hem

Friday's new high here is 56. Models seem to support a cool weekend. Unfortunately, the 18Z says put up the boats and pull out the hoses because it isn't going to rain much soon.
Yep that big event is long gone. Some spots showing only .50 totals through day 16.

Lots of bitching from someone who received 7.30 inches of rain last month. Historically YOUR DRIEST MONTH OF THE YEAR . Yes you almost tripled your monthly precip total last month oh and by the way your heading into your three wettest months of the year in June , July and August ......

It wasn't that hot today but boy did the humidity make it miserable.

I'll take 85 and cloudy over 92 and sunny though.

Man, off and on showers here around Athens town today. Left work to get lunch on the eastside. Got past Research and Barnett Shoals and the bottom fell out until I reached Publix. rain subsided after a minute and stayed. Pretty much was off and on showers around Athens around lunchtime through 1PM. Windy and it was slightly cooler after 5 today as well.

Well, I finally got some appreciable and much appreciated rain on Monday with ~0.43" during the evening. Most of it fell just within a 15 minute span from a very heavy line of thunderstorms. This was the heaviest rain by far in 25 days.

For some reason it feels like fall to me. After an extended period of warmth it's now much cooler. Maybe this is October ?

I never got close to that. I am a long way from Columbia SC where I think you are basing that on. Also 30 miles from GSP if that's the site you are looking at. This area got less than 30% of the 7.30 you think fell here.

That was based from Greenville

To be fair I asked The GSP NWS and they said it's closer to the lower 4s which is still an inch above average

Fair is good, and that's still enough water not to be complaining about ... IMHO

5.42" for Jonesville, SC for April per Weather Underground ...

That, IMHO, is a good amount of water; I'd have been happy with that ...
Jonesville is like a miniature Gainesville ! :)

Try this out for size - Gainesville had 2.74 inches of rain in April with 2.67 inches coming on April 4th. That makes dry after almost 4 weeks ...

I suppose you could say so since they both have a North Main Street an a South Main Street, a road named "Haile", and each a Curmudgeon to boot ... LOL ;)
