Great place for snowmobiling; also the most swampy, mosquito infested place in the CONUS (including FL) in the summer ...

Didn't know that . When I lived in Michigan I only went to the UP once . It's a regret I have because it's beautiful up there along the lake shores

Hung out a lot at Sleeping Bear and also up in the UP -- friggin' weird summers with the bugs -- and do they bite!
