Severe May 7th - 12th Severe weather threat

At gulf shores, AL. Supposed to be some nasty storms tomorrow lets hope i get some good pics ? maybe a waterspout? ?

1.19" yesterday and it's currently pouring already again. We're under a slight but it just doesn't feel severe-y because of it already raining. Perhaps thunderstorms later though.

For NC, the short range models are not that impressed for today minus the north-west chunk of the state...Boone to Statesville up to Mount Airy. Maybe some damaging winds there.

2mins ago NWS Blacksburg says threat rapidly diminishing...esp blue ridge west. Minus a stray severe storm in the hills that’s it.

Saw some awesome mammatus clouds after a severe storm came through gulf shores this morning. Woke up right after the shelf cloud passed by though. ?

No surprise hail has been a issue, these are more cold core type supercells, tapping into some pretty cold air aloft, low freezing levels and low WBZ levels, moisture pooling around the boundary this morning helped keep CAPE values up aswell, 2000 jkg of SBcape into a cold core environment like this is bound to produce large hail + decent dry air aloft and strong 0-6km bulk shear (40-60kts) 188A45AD-2E0D-4F5B-BC57-9215ABDB4101.jpeg

Baseball sized hail was reported and the tornado near zebulon looks like a potentially strong one as it seems to have tossed a truck a few hundred yards
