For Georgia, outside of extreme NW Ga., radar and satellite look to be confirming the CAMS in lifting out the best lift to the north as the snow band moves eastward. Good to see our Alabama peeps score a nice surprise for many.

Sleet here in Smyrna. Very light right now.
Looks almost like it snowed here but it’s 70 degrees. 
The flowers are even “sticking” to the road!!!

I’m in a suburb just south of there and that’s where my pics were taken. A solid .5 to 1 inch on the grass. All done now and melting but solid considering we were in the 70s and 80s a few days ago.

Pretty impressive stuff, especially to get daytime stickage with soil and BL temps so warm and mid-March sun angle. Rates must be crazy! Unfortunately, it’ll also melt super quickly because of those aforementioned factors, but something is better than nothing and thus seems like an overperformer!!!

We went from 39 degrees at 12:30pm to 33 degrees at 2:10pm. One hour and a half!
The radar has filled in nicely just west and SW of ATL. Y'all just might get some mood flakes after all.

Snow letting up here, just measured exactly 1cm or 0.4" on elevated objects. Very close to what was modeled here by the NAM/HRRR/RAP and RDPS. Believe it or not, the GFS led the way among the global suite lol.

I just noticed that the eves of the houses around here are collecting sleet which makes sense since it was really coming down hard for a bit 
1” at BHM is insane!
