Pattern Magnificent March

Looks like a dusting has already fallen in Hillsborough especially on roof and car tops.
Radar returns have blossomed out that way. Good returns look to be headed into Raleigh soon, if they don't move slightly north. But it looks like the whole shield is expanding and intensifying a bit. Hopefully, it will keep that up for a while.

Pretty substantial burst of snow is showing up around RTP south-central Durham county and NE Chatham, seeing reflectivity of up to 30 dBz in this band, could produce a nice dusting in portions of northern Wake.

Nice. On your radar loop, can you tell if it is continuing to expand?

Yeah it's continuing to expand further to the south & east and should soon affect a large part of Wake county, the reflectivity has been on the increase over southeastern Chatham county the last 15-20 mins or so. Watching TWC news, the HWY 55 interchange in southern Durham shows a dusting on the ground from this band w/ wet roads and the snow is ripping

Awesome, thanks very much. I expect if that trend continues, the WWA will be expanded.

This should be fun for a large portion of Wake Co.

Legit snow just starting in downtown. It was really light earlier, but it's increasing in intensity now.
