Wintry Machine Learning Mauler 1/30-2/1

Latest ILM forecast. Y'all up around Fayetteville and points north are still on the hook for a few inches even with the dryness.

At least 3-4" down in the last several hrs, though the wind is whipping it around and its tough to tell, there are already foot deep drifts...

Ended up with right at 4 inches...maybe a hair less. Pretty much what GSP had for us. For an ULL it was a win for NW upstate because we usually get left out totally. Been a long time since we've seen over 4 inches..we now take Charlotte's place..lol
Congrats everyone

Flizzarding again for the past 10 mins ins SW Wake country. Should be getting more steady based in the radar. Everything that fell earlier, stuck

CAE updates their event total graphics throughout the event, right? This is saying it updated an hour ago, but it’s estimating 8” total IMBY and I don’t see how I can gain 6 more in this event unless something majorly changes

I think the absolute highest measurements will be somewhere in Davidson Rowan or Randolph county

9.5” Mooresville Nc Hwy152/Linwood Road 4:30PM.

3.5” for the record …. Not liking the chances but close.

Eric - Can't wait to see your final snowfall map.

I can’t wait either, this is a truly landmark storm for the Charlotte area. Some places along the 85 corridor (esp in Rowan & Davidson counties) are getting nearly as much or even more snow than they did in the historic Feb 2004 snowstorm

SUMMARY...A period of sustained moderate to heavy snow rates
approaching and occasionally exceeding 1 inch per hour appears to be
developing and likely to continue through around 6-7 PM EST.
