Yeah drought is going to be at the absolute bottom of the list of things to worry about in the south anytime soon and as soon as summer is over .. and we get into a more wet season it’s going to be flash flooding we’re worried about or just plain old flooding if we get a tropical system
True although I feel like all the models were fairly quiet yesterday and we had much more expansive storms than they showed .. especially the more east you live. We’ll see ??storms hit a little different when they develop with these sort of conditions at the sfc, this could be the hrrr being happy as usual the day before only to crap the bed the next day View attachment 87385View attachment 87386
Atl is 6 degrees warmer than yesterday as of 10am. It was 95 yesterday. That means today should be 101, right ?Fwiw, RDU and FAY are a few degrees cooler vs 24 hours ago whereas ATL is warmer quite a bit.

It was 3 degrees cooler at 951 at RDU vs yesterday but it’s also considerably less humid . All in all I don’t think it makes too much of a difference . Nvm looks about as humid as yesterday .If so, I eat my treadmill as I promised. I hope it has a lot of fiber so I’d benefit. I still say no to 100 at ATL though.
Charlotte is 1 warmer.
Are you surprised at this heat given how wet it's been ?FFC has 98 at KATL today and tomorrow and also says this:
OVERNIGHT GUIDANCE STILL INDICATES THAT UPPER RIDGE WILL BUILD IN
WITH SUFFICIENT HEAT AND LOW LEVEL MOISTURE TO APPROACH OR EXCEED
HEAT ADVISORY THRESHOLD OF 105. YESTERDAY'S FORECAST DEWPOINTS WERE
UNDERFORECAST BY 3-5 DEGREES ESPECIALLY OVER MIDDLE GA SO ANTICIPATE
SIMILAR BIAS IN TODAY'S FORECAST. WITH THIS IN MIND, HAVE ISSUED
ADVISORY FOR MANY AREAS INCLUDING ATLANTA METRO, BASICALLY ALL OF
CWA EXCEPT FOR FAR NORTH AND EASTERN COUNTIES.
