Well that seems different. BAM was saying how the PV was modeled to get strong and consolidated limited the cold air.
So now BAM is saying this cold is a head fake! He now leads the pack of :JB, JC, MV and JH, of the biggest goobers that just can’t admit they are wrong!
I saw that tall ridge and a part of me did the same thing 
Models can’t handle pattern changes of this extreme!! Look for a few more Fro, Cary95, Tnwx, and Logan Elliot runs in the coming days, before models pick up on it! No need to panic!
??I’ll always be willing to take my chances with a look like that. Often times you can get a weak low to form on that front as it’s draped near the Gulf Coast… the can spread a lot of moisture north over the cold air and produce widespread 2-4” snowfall from the I-20 to I-40 corridors

Yeah I’m really not certain that I’m seeing the PV strengthening much as the AO does seem to be headed slightly negative. A split may not be in the cards, but I definitely think with the other teleconnections looking more favorable, it should get stretched enough to allow cold to come south

End of the GFS is Jan 3rd, 2018 all over again. Like to the freakin T.
With another one gearing up right behind it. This pattern potential... Man i hope it has some legs. Were starting to get in the range of consistent fantasy runs now.

Off to 00z .. you jinxed us .. say something negative and we should be back in business by 00z

My opinion is if the epo is forecast to trend negative with the ao and wpo, we should see some pretty cold air mid-end of January imo
What did you expect, this is the true answer.
