The cold air temperatures are helping with the soil temperatures. As others have stated, this is a little over rated (...snow can overcome...) but it does help to have cool ground temps before an event.

Nam is warm for me this morning. Has me at 32. Hrrr Is closer at 28. RGEM is dead on at 25. Wonder if that even matters as we go thru today.
Fox Carolina put out their updated forecast. I also wonder if GSP will expand their winter storm watch, issue advisories, or just wait till the last minute to issue something. I think I already know the answer though.

That was a huge jump south at 36 hours. And it was virtually every model. It was not so much with the front side stuff, but the backside evolution was completely different.

Winter Storm Warning for my area but have been on the cusp with various models from 0" to everywhere in between. I think the 1-3 inches that FFC advised with 4+ in the higher elevations is a good call but obviously a good bust potential with this thing.
As far as DT's call maps are concerned, it hasn't snowed more than a trace in Georgia according to his maps in the almost 10+ years I have seen his forecasts. His maps are focused on accuracy (and usually inflated) in his backyard and he doesn't really care about anyone else's. Just the way it is with him.

@Oconeexman I think if we do okay here, you may score on this one as we are both relying on the same dynamics to come to fruition. The only difference is, I am a little more worried about the warm nose for you guys. I'm pulling for you bud.
