On Sat it looks like back edge looks stationary, and moisture transport out of gulf is still going strong and building . Storm looks like it slowing down allowing it to back build. Energy for NW may help bend moisture back NW. SO i would expect higher totals than modeled

Our dews are still around 10 here in Athens (right under that 1.3 in GA). I'm having a hard time believing we're going to see anything here, the air is so, so dry.I'm thinking the RAP looks like a pretty good call for the western areas.

Thats 10/1 Too.... so .7" wold be roughly .07" QPF .... My lord , 25 Miles and Coast is gonna get a footI'm thinking the RAP looks like a pretty good call for the western areas.

Snowing heavy in LaGrange now. Cars covered probably closing in on 1” already and picking up. Looking like the NAM projection from last night.

18z NAM has no precip at all for immediate ATL metro yet there are countless reports.

Finally have a few flakes spitting around. Will need this band to back build a little or grab more moisture from the SW or this is all I'm gonna see. Such an odd circumstance given that most folks in my neck of the woods are on the southern edge for these things otherwise

Get all of the I-85 corridor from the Upstate through Charlotte and the Triad and Triangle to the magical inch mark, you will be doing some great work! It could happen. I do think at least a dusting is probable.

This is the forcing mech for ascent for areas further back west, it’s seemingly doing far better then modeled, both the HRRR and NAM. Think the RAP has the best handle on this so far out of any short range model
