Wintry Jan 6-7 2022 Winter potential

Interesting....the 2 people in southern TN I have spoken with says all rain, as do multiple mPing reports....guess they all wrong?
Well based on radar it’s not and a contact in Lawrenceburg days it is snowing. Guess they’re all wrong?

Looks like a battle between a warm nose at the surface and cold air pushing south. Not every place is dealing with it…just a portion, and it probably won’t last long. No need for pantie bunching so early….especially in SC…lol

I'd be sweating bullets if I lived south of 40 in TN this initial shot of WAA and fgen will probably flip a lot of people to ip or zr but it looks like a slow cooling of the column starts mid morning and the ptype lines start sinking back south
Nam 3km has been honking that horn especially yesterday, those setups driven off FGEN/WAA typically have a stronger then modeled warm nose

Lucky for them the wave is flat enough and elongated w-e enough that they get this initial warm push then 850s start cooling while the fgen axis is still across the state
