41/24.3we never do winter weather right. we can't even coax ourselves into a diabolical ice storm
Brent, I think you hit double digits easily! That hole fills in over you and the blossoming near panhandle, you’re gonna do ok! View attachment 188486
I’m in New Hill/Apex. Mid-20s here and brisk. Western wake so hoping more sleet that FRZRN but it depends on the models.Anybody on here in Apex, or close to there? Got family there and just wonder how they are looking!??
Man i'm pulling for you. There's definitely a lot of hype about it
Or people saying it was always the big event
I mean I guess I did kind of like it better on the models at some point
We do have a long way to go still
Wedge is definitely working, even all the way to my location. 45/31.5 and 2.5 mph NE winds. That's the perfect direction for cold air transport. Gusty winds here. Wet bulb is dropping, now 39.2, so we have a lot of work to do to get a freezing rain/drizzle threat later tonight.44/24 here in Northern Conyers. Surprised how warm it is atm tbh...still think it won't matter when the wedge really begins to drive through, but it is keeping surface temperatures a bit higher which means it might take more to begin efficient accretion.
masterpiece. love itGenerator operations have moved to the front yard where it is clear of trees. Been building this sh*t box for the last half hour. 5k running watts total on the smoke machines. I don’t think we freeze. Jimmy is gear’d up
Cold. Ice cold. Stiff wind out of the north. Be ready to act quick tomorrow View attachment 188508

22/4 roughly ten miles NW as the crow flies of DBAP.

With how low DPs are already, I am curious if we do actually see those -10F and lower dews verify later today before the precip's arrival. I wasn't sure whether to believe them before, but now it seems quite possible?
