I think 66-68 will prolly win tomorrow for RDU. Got a backdoor front swinging thru that -should- keep us from exceeding forecast by too much. Friday depends on cloud cover and arrival of that next front from the west, if it lags we could get 71-73 prolly.
Look at this idiot. 70F RDU. Always bet the over

Haha it’s ok bro! Widespread mid upper 60s rn across state, I don’t think you were wrong for your forecast. But yeah , 70! And widespread too doesn’t seem to be much difference across state so it’s not a fake RDU is 10 degrees warmer than everyone day

Its a little bothersome because its just not representative of the area really. Forecasting for RDU specifically = add 2 or 3 F compared to stations around

The econet network needs to expand more! I love it, would love climate data from it. I especially appreciate that each station has information on its last maintenance and what equipment is used

They're always trying to. Its tough to find suitors due to $

Made it to 70 here today, can really feel the radiant heat on my face currently as it's lowering.

Absolutely amazing weather. Personally, I will take this over a half inch of snow and teens.

What a spread today with temps; mid 80s showing up in the lower part of the state; that is astounding! I am glad I am in the wedge, at least it's still cool here. This is a wild spread.

It didn't really get into the teens too far in Raleigh that's interesting

Some laugh. Sometimes what our parents used were great again. Roughly 1/2 inch..

Btw.. Not sure why my phone “cropped” my pic. Apple 🤦🏻‍♂️

Brief Wikipedia weatherbox summary for my PWS. A milder respite the final 3-4 days of January from the bitter cold bumped up the averages noticeably.

Max Temp: 67.1 F
Min Temp: 7.9 F
Avg Temp: 35.7 F

RDU finishes the month -3.2F. Kind of disappointing considering that cold spell. The heat at the end of the month didn’t help.

GSO was -4.9F and FAY was -5.1F so maybe it’s just that stupid hot sensor, though.
