I’d say so too but I think this is an extreme long shot. There is no way to improve this setup to be favorable for snow with the boundary layer temps out before this system. Mountain system at best

As a consolation, parts of the mid south are sitting at 500%+ their avg, so there’s a good chance we won’t have to suffer through watching another one back that way for another 5-6 years

No one seems to be to talking about it yet but there might be some serious flooding concerns later this week for the western/ central Carolinas and back over to Tennessee, northern Alabama, and Mississippi… lots of snow melt from the mountains and west combined with a lot of heavy rainfall possible.

This is not entirely true, the Winter of 2022/2023 (last year) was not good for much of anyone in Tennessee, including Nashville. There was ~ 1" of snow recorded December 22, 2022 in West and Middle Tn, right before Christmas. The rest of last year's Winter was not good for anyone in the state.

However, the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 seasons were good. These were probably the other two seasons where you remember the snows you mentioned.
What’s not true? I said if we reach 10 inches of snow this winter it will be 3 winters out of the last 4 that we get over 10 or more inches of snow. Last winter was ok but not crazy. I got almost 2.5 inches total plus a week of freezing rain.

The 8inch and 6 inch snows happened in the same winter of 2022. Then a 7 inch snow this last Monday . I think that’s where you misunderstood me.

Back on topic. High yesterday was 15 and the low was -1 this morning. It was the 3rd Time this week I went below zero. Still a couple of inches of snow on the ground. This is longest cold stretch since fab February 2015. That cold shot was not as cold but still impressive because it was the middle of February and snow stayed on the ground for well over a week.

Yeah... I'm feeling like whatever else happens this winter it ain't topping the last 10 days on cold at least... 6 out of 8 days below freezing with a high of 6 14 and 20 three days in a row. I'm still seeing snow and icy patches from last Sunday too which was apparently the 12th coldest day on record here. Yeah.... Good luck topping that ?

The only thing that might be topped is the snow I mean it only snowed an inch. Very similar to Christmas 22
