Misc Jalapeño July

Picked up 2.09" a bit ago under a heavy storm. Still raining out has been for two hours now. What a crazy summer.

Need a report from JHS

Wel convection starting up a bit early... Looking like a boundry from near Hanceville, AL to about Milledgeville Ga lifting to NE..

GSP is starting to back away some on our rain chances for today. I would not be shocked if we go the rest of this month without another drop.

I fully expect you to get at least 2 drops before the end of the month. In fact, I bet you will get more than 1000 drops before August 1st. Just because rain chances back off doesn't mean that GSP is right.

I wouldn't either tbh. Nothing jumps off the page as far as rain

The radar looks nice now, but it did last Sat too and we ended up with nothing. At least the storms are within 25 miles today.

Better pray the forcing can overcome this. Outflow boundary = kiss of death

Not a drop here. Storms got within 2-3 miles. Ready for a tropical system coming from the FLA panhandle up through the mountains. When we start missing it goes forever it seems. I stand by saying it will not rain here again in July. Maybe not in August either.

Well, folks, short of trying to pull a JB and suggest some sort of nirvana, it's summer and is gonna stay that way for about 6 - 10 weeks.
Sorry for the bad news, but then again, it ain't news - it's just plain old summer now in the SE.
Carry on ... and enjoy the BBQ!

and if it's too hot and humid to be outdoors - how's about some Wiki contributions? Just sayin' ... :D

There's supposed to be a good chance of rain tomorrow in upstate SC, but I'm betting everything stays on I-20 and south. Then 5-6 days with no real chance at all. I'm almost ready for 100+ heat just to change things up.

I wish there were medicine ...

The Euro has a 594+ ridge over the southeast from day 4 right on through day 10 with 850 temps up to 23c at times. 100+ temps likely if this verifies. The hottest temps would be in SC and NC. Gonna need tropical systems to dislodge this pattern. Without Hermine and Matthew, all of September and most of October of last year would have been much warmer.

Not ideal

Yep . It'll be hot in AL and GA, but we bake here in the Carolinas. If the 850's are right on the Euro, this chart will be correct with no end in sight.
