That looks ugly! That stretch from the upstate to SD area, looks sad! Drought begets drought! Can't wait for winter and more dream crushing!

Currently 95 - h/I of 106!
Living the dream!

Good news is , those that haven't received rain in a while are not looking at drought conditions

This is the new summer look. 3rd straight year of the same --------
Maybe up there, but not here. There has been rain in the area every day the past several weeks except a couple of days. Must be some weird rain gradient between Birmingham and SC lol. Every summer seems different here, given that last summer was dry and this one is a soaker, with not too long ago being a soaker as well as cool.

LOL! This will be the first weekend of the summer where I will be cutting grass that is slightly crunchy...LOL!

Just a thought ...

It is the very middle of summer, and yes it's warm, and dry in some spots.

But not overly so.

Anyway, doom and gloom prognostications notwithstanding, looks like a "normal" temp regime for a while. Could be much worse; we've all ridden that train.

The GFS composites look to keep us just about where we should be ... if that's solace for anyone.

PS - You can find this and others in Wiki! --> Models>EWall section.

PPS - I wish I'd had (improper grammar - intended) the resources of this Board, the folks here, and our Wiki 30 years ago when weather became a fascination ... just sayin' ... I might even know what I'm talking about had the resource been available ...

For the first time since May, I have now gone one week without any rain at my house in Hoover AL. We have had storms around for the past three days but none in my neighborhood. I have watered the lawn twice on Sunday and Wednesday. I am actually hoping we get a storm in my area today. Chances are increasing for today through Sunday. May Storm 5 will push some of his about 20 miles south to my house. Happy Friday all.

Here you go!!!!

Won't happen. The euro has been too high with its 7-10 day temps over the last few weeks

Yeah just spent on hour getting home to Hoover from Homewood. As hard a rain as I have been in. 3/4 inch in the rain gauge now and still raining. Thanks for sharing.

It's getting dark here, and the radar is starting to explode. I see lots of rain in the area, so hoping for a good shower again.
Just peeked at the radar. You look to be in a great spot for perhaps a LOT of rain this evening. Storms are widespread from Rome to Clayton and north in GA.

Only thing is that where I am at, the rain dropped a few drops and moved north. Huge no rain dome at the moment. Hoping for development south of here. These storms are loud today. Lighting flashes just to my north and the thunder from it is persistent.

Shelf cloud was to my south, but passed with some light winds. I could see faster winds above ground as the cloulds under it were moving quite fast.
