pressure down to 1004mb here in charlotte. no gusts >12mph yet and just a little rain so far. pumped to see what my tempest records later this morning.
Gust to 55! Pressure to 997.3

Power didnt go off here..thankfully. i hate losing power in these widespread events since there is no telling when you get it back.
1 million plus out in ga...impressive to say the least.
Looks like GSP is getting the worst of it now. Pretty close to the actual forecast.

Center of circulation is around Waynesville now, getting closer. Probably be a quick 15 minute period of strong winds soon.
Looks like 55mph is going to be our max. Pressure bottomed out at 997.3

Took a drive around. 2 stop signs down, lots of trees, and an entire section of fence that's not too old.
probably getting some upper 40mph wind gusts rn

I fully expect a 30 mph brief gust as the tail swishes by this afternoon, don't see any real mechanism to mix those winds down to the surface and more times than not these high wind potentials (here) don't play out as advertised

Winds are strangely calm around here. I think we make it out pretty well around here
