Been pretty relentless
Can you imagine if the ICON had been right? Good thing it wasntBeen pretty relentless
I dont doubt it. Its a stout bandI’ve been concerned about the Fayetteville/Ft Liberty area, especially for very heavy rain, as I have family there. Check out these 11PM conditions
FORT LIBERTY HVY RAIN 77 75 94 NE16G22 29.64F VSB 1
FAYETTEVILLE RAIN 77 74 90 NE31G52 29.61F FOG
Is that really gusts to 52 at Fayetteville? Wow!
What are rain totals like? How is Lumberton doing?
I am about 10 miles north of Fayetteville and it is a blowing rain, don’t know about 52mph wind but 40s believable for sure. This will add up fast!Already 3.18” for today per this and 2.35” just within the last 2 hours per this:
National Weather Service

Looking like a very rough rest of the night there!
And like clockwork the NWS has backed me down to 0.25” expected rainfall. Imagine my shockTypical coastal/ENC footprint. At least this time we don’t have to argue where the Rain/snow line is going to set up. A lot of rain for the triangle. I’ll be shocked if my area (GSP) picks up those 2-3” numbers TWC is talking about. That just isn’t how these things normally shake out.
Those of us in the middle of it don't want to outperform any of it.I want to outperform this. Storms like these are why the rainfall averages for a lot of eastern NC are skewed so high in the 30 year averages, even here in Raleigh it’s a bit skewed because of em

I’m just feening for rain, I’m sorry it’s the extreme weather lover in me. If it’s gon happen it’ll happen . I get it tho, Lumberton was destroyed twice … I don’t want to be that guy tho but it may be time to move anyone within a mile of the lumber river flood plain side, them rivers gon floodThose of us in the middle of it don't want to outperform any of it.
Fortunately I am in the northern part of the county, far away from any rivers and on higher ground, but yeah after two terrible floods, I would be wanting to get out of that zone.I’m just feening for rain, I’m sorry it’s the extreme weather lover in me.
