I am more of a tiger fan, but do like Phil! IMO, this win is as big as Tigers masters win in 19!
I agree with you on the Tiger fan more then Phil but what Tiger did in 19 was WAY better because of the circumstances. This is a good #2. Congratulations to Phil tho. Nice win.

Congratulations, Phil! I was really amazed at his distance off the tees, especially at his age! He hit the longest on at least one hole of anyone (nearly 370 yards)!

This, the ‘19 Tiger Masters win, and Jack’s ‘86 Masters are all incredible late career accomplishments in their own ways regardless of how anyone wants to rank them. And I’m sure some other people would want to add other great moments.

Next up for Phil: Can he get the career grand slam at the US Open?

Jon Rahm just took the US Open lead by 1 on 18 over Louis Oosthuizen with an 18 foot birdie. But Louis still has 3 holes to go, which includes the easy 18th that Rahm just birdied. And Louis has played the last 3 holes well.

Where did Bernhardt Langer finish?

Louis O. remains hot with the British Open first round lead. Just a shot back is Spieth and the 2021 consistently good GA Bulldog Brian Harman from Savannah. Two shots back includes GT Yellow Jacket Stewart Cink, the 2021 Hilton Head winner.

Well. I guess I cursed the two GA boys oops! They are struggling early in the 2nd round.

Wow, Koepka is red hot today so far with -5 for the first 13 holes, which puts him only 4 from Louis, who just teed off.

I love Championship Sunday, up early, couple cups of coffee and great golf.

Although thus far NBC coverage is horrible, too many little side stories and not showing the leaders live at times or showing it as they're already in their swing.

CBS is far better imho and has been for a very long time. They get down to business with fewer side stories. I think Jim Nantz is easily THE best lead play by play announcer and has been for decades. His/their Masters coverage is always second to none.

Another thing NBC has done for many years that I don’t like is to show mainly long putts that are unexpectedly made as if they’re live. Only after the fact they’ll say “that was a moment ago.” Not all made long putts but some when they miss them live. CBS OTOH will normally say “this was a moment ago” BEFORE the video shows the putt being hit.

100% agree

I was wondering why you were online at 4 am!

Would like to see Morikawa win if Jordan can't, dude is gonna be a super star

Morikawa did it with -4 today and -15 for the tourney. With 2 majors in his first 8, Collin has the best start ever! Spieth also had a -4 today and ended in 2nd, 2 back.
That’s it for 2021 majors.

1st time at the Open too, he is extremely talented.

Today is the 3rd and final day of the Ryder Cup, which had been postponed from 2020 due to Covid-19. It is being played at a beautiful course, Whistling Pines in Wisconsin. The US is dominating at 11-5 and is leading in 9 of 12 current singles matches! So it is pretty much merely a formality now til the US officially wins.

Oops, Whistling Straits, not Whistling Pines. I got my Whistlings mixed up.

The US officially wins! We still won’t know by how much for awhile but it will be by a huge margin.

Edit: Lol, the rivals Bryson and Brooks just shook hands and actually hugged though only lightly and very quick. It almost looked more for show to perhaps shut the media up but I could be wrong.

I've been so out of kilter recently that I only just now realized the TPC was played last weekend and that's normally one of my favorites to
watch! Australian Cameron Smith won and it took til Monday due to wx delays. The Sunday round was played on what almost had to be one of the coldest days for PGA golf in years! I wish I hadn't missed it.

The Masters starts in just over two weeks!

I'm ready for warm dry weather. courses are rough around here. Dormant grass for 4 months and all this rain equals slop.
