They usually just regurgitate NBM, which is over 8” in Raleigh now (not sure I’ve ever seen it that high this close to an event)

Yeah I mean to be fair we still had a solid storm anyone would probably be happy with but it was definitely not historic like everyone else thought it would be
The floor was pretty high to begin with which is what was crazy here too
It took 36 hours of snow to get 8 inches. I hope y'all can do better than that haha

A couple posts in the storm thread got me wanting to ask this question for people in the banter... what's the best rate y'all ever saw in a snowstorm?
For me, personally, it was the Blizzard of January 2018 in New Hampshire. 4"/hour. Video capture below sums it up. Two other nor'easters of that winter also came pretty close.
