Misc General Banter Thread

You belong in this thread the euro isn’t the only model. It’s naive to think it’s 100% right with the northern trend. It’s not consistent, makes little sense with CAD erosion. Talk to me tomorrow and if you’re right I’ll shut up
Where did I mention the Euro? I said the GFS is on an island. That means all other guidance is basically in agreement that this cuts and Miller Bs us into submission. I don't doubt the Euro is eroding the wedge too quickly. And I never said we wasn't getting a winterstorm. I said we're not going back to those snowy solutions we had before yesterday evening. This is an ice storm. Not a snowstorm

The warm nose through central Alabama presented itself like 4 days ago and it truly looks like a giant middle finger on all the models. I saw like 14 middle fingers on that GEFS panel at 18z. Now I know exactly why Accu didn’t post it! Such a sickening hobby.

Told my buddy at church there was no way we’d have church Sunday because of this massive storm. I’m gonna look like the village idiot when it’s thundering and pouring rain when he has to serve communion! Over it all but I have to stick this out until my son can build a snowman.

I saw Mitch West post this in the storm thread:

Found this very interesting from Jim Gandy. A local South Carolina legend.
This is the only reason I'm still mildly interested as Gandy has my respect when it comes to meteorology. He gained my respect as he was the only meteorologist in the area who nailed the January '88 storm. Not to mention, during the latter part of storm, local mets (on the other local stations) surmised we were done with anymore snow with the exception of Gandy. He obviously picked up on something per his experience and astuteness, and called for a quick thump of moderate snow towards the latter part of the storm (which came to fruition).

I'll be paying attention to his reports throughout the next couple days.
