Misc General Banter Thread

Realistically I thought the globals would meet somewhere in the middle. The GFS completely caved to the other models, just like Bouncy said. From this point going forward for me, the GFS is completely dead, and I won't pay any attention to it anymore. To be that far off all the way into short model range, the GFS serves literally no purpose in forecasting other than showing what not to look at. The GEFS mean went from almost 100% coverage in certain areas to nothing in less than 24 hours within 72 hours of an event, that is just unacceptable. Quite honestly, I've always said the Icon and RGEM are my two favorites, I'm sticking with it.

Last night everyone was worried about losing the storm NW.... now everyone is worried about losing the storm completely.... maybe, just maybe we do get a happy medium somehow. Maybe the i20 Augusta/Columbia folks win if we retain enough cold AND moisture somehow.

I swear i’m starting to hate this winter I thought moving from phenix city Alabama to Hazel Green Alabama I’ll have my chance of seeing the white stuff but knowing that the city you moved from is about see something sucks big time

The GFS is dead to me. I’m never looking at it again until the next time it shows 4” of snow on top of my house 4 days out. It’s such a dreadful model, I’m waving the white flag on this storm on the basis that the 18z GFS lost it.

Last one out of the storm thread tonight about 11:15 pm. Turn out the lights.

When the Nam will follow grandpa GFS. As the last 2 models to come to their senses.

Poll: If you could be anywhere on the board... given the swings NW and SE we've seen... where would you want to be in this setup (albeit not a good one)?

Tbh due to the orientation of the “storm” or “lack there of” it’s not going to take much to wobble it back towards the cold air boundary . Even the AI precip maps are pretty in reach I think
One thing’s for certain Jimbo, you’ll be the last one dropping off the edge of the Titanic come Saturday!! You ride em til the end no matter what! And we thank you for that from the bottom our hearts

A lot of yall wouldn’t have survived the models in January of 2014 or December of 2017. Models looked like ---- sandwiches up to em expect for the mighty NAM on 12/8/17. Never give up when you have moisture in the gulf.
Don’t give up until you lose the last WRF-ARW!

That's interesting as I saw a high today of 19 with sunny skies. 🤣🤣🤣

Ha yeah this weekend is probably gonna be the coldest air of the season and it's not even that cold...

The Euro has shown hints about 10 days out but well you know...

The only precip in the last 6 weeks here had 5 tornadoes at 8am in the morning

Colorado has record low snow cover right now apparently
