Man I'd love to have a day like this; just once see Old Man Winter give us something memorable. It's not going to snow anyway so at least give us some cold to talk about!

Must be a Midwest thing. Down south it’s Ham, blackeye peas, collards and corn bread but hell eat whatever you want and call it lucky I just eat it because I like those sorta things.

I said this before and I'll say again, I will take an entire winter of cold rain rather than one single day of above 60 degree temps during the DFJ period.

Just what is good about very cold weather. 20 degrees is cold enough. Anything under that is useless.

I know this is operational, but its time for spring operations and pre-emergent.
Low of 63 is wild
I mean ten straight days of lows above 50. For the GFS operational to even output that is insanity. I have no doubt either because we just experienced it aside from this two day cool down. This might be one of the warmest climatological winters in history if this actually goes down. Obviously December as a whole will only be just be a little above normal in this area, but January has the potential to be off the charts warm.

We just had the warmest Christmas week on record, this would be about the warmest Jan week on record. We suck at winter, even for the South. If this verifies I give up.

I have a work ski trip 2/8-210 in Solitude Utah, then a personal trip in Crested Butte the next week. I decided to just extend my flight to cover both weeks instead of going back and forth. Things could go from desolate to amazing in just a couple of weeks out there.
Nice! It’s happening. Now the west coast guys can finally quit complaining about their icy slopes. They’ll be open til May once this is over
They always claim their best months are march and April. Seems to be truth.

Yeah absolutely brutal pattern setting up. Lots can change but really looking like a dump out west is likely at least through middle January
