Aaaaanddd here it is. This comes up every year but it doesn't make any sense. If you want snow you have to have the cold. Sure, it probably won't snow for most of us, but to even have a chance you have to have cold. If it is warm, IT WILL NEVER SNOW. It's kinda like saying, "if it's not going to rain I would rather it be sunny." Guess what; if its sunny... it will never rain. Gotta have the clouds to get a chance. Saying you don't want the cold without snow is really saying you don't even want a chance for snow.

Out of a 90 day period which is winter we probably only have a two-day probability of snow. Nothing wrong wanting 60 degree warmer weather when it's definitely not going to snow for those 88 other days.

As for me I don't want cold nor do I want Snow. So therefore Give me warm where I can get out and do things without having 80lbs of clothes on and freezing my A$$ off

This is also how I feel.

Part of what at least makes New Mexico easier to deal with in winter is its usually warm and sunny (60s or even 70F+) when there’s not precip around. The sun is very strong here so even a 55F degree day is warm enough where you could probably wear shorts

Yep the sun feels a lot stronger here because we’re at 4000-4500 feet elevation and further south. It makes a world of difference. The sun is so strong down here that I’ve actually gotten a sunburn in December before

Well that sounds lovely, I guess we're paying the price for summer pretty much being all over but the crying after July of this year in the interior southeast because of several days of cloudiness blocking it from being hotter.

I certainly happily took that in August, but with December, I about had it with the CAD based cloudiness when we had that go on for about 10 straight days.

I don't really want it to be mid 70s, but if it won't snow, I'd like for it to be about around 58-65 or so.

I don’t post in here much unless we have an event but this winter I am honestly rooting for warmth. Last year I lost 70% (14 out of 20) of my honeybee colonies as much of the country did. Treatments didn’t work on the varroa mites and combined with the cold temps it was a recipe for disaster. I got them rebuilt back to 20 hives again and we’ve had a brood break here so bring on the warmth. I’m trying to get to 30 this next season

Not in Nashville either. I don’t start to consider worrying about a crap winter until late January. Mid January to 3rd week of February is when 90% of the big dog snows occur here. We could have a furnace for the next 30 days and it would still give us 40% of January all of February and 2 weeks in March to get a good snow. It is insane to declare winter over in December no matter how bad a pattern looks.

Yeah the I-40 corridor still has a lot of time left for snow chances.
