You’ve been wrong the entire time so why stop nowIn NC, we missed out on our 1 chance we get each winter. Maybe next winter we will finally see a snow over 3 or 4 inches again. It has been a wild experience.
That seems akin to pissing in the wind to me, especially with the wind gusts. Any warmth is going to be dispersed so quickly to not really have any effect. Can I ask a stupid question? If I go light my Solo Stove outside and keep it going strong, could it help even a little bit to prevent my backyard trees from accruing ice when the strong line moves thru?

I remember folks canceling winter during the Christmas heater, not going to lie though, I thought it was too very bleak for a few days thereRemember a few weeks ago when people were saying we only had a small window to score because February was spring![]()
This kind of irresponsible ---- pisses me off. She's been at it all day. I wonder if she's even a real met.

She’s referencing the Freezing Rain QPF.She needs to at least cut her #s in half imho. Does she mean ZR as opposed to actual ice accretion?
And that is irresponsible when presented without contextShe’s referencing the Freezing Rain QPF.
The general public has no idea what that isShe’s referencing the Freezing Rain QPF.
It's not supposed to get below 32 until around Midnight in Atlanta. That should allow for plenty of time for the winds to help dry the roads.Interesting, the meso low situation might explain why temps didn’t rise rapidly here once that band of heavy rain moved through 30 mins ago. The airport went from 34 to 36 and it held steady at 33 in NW Atlanta where I am. The winds also shifted from the SE to the NW now. I am concerned about flash freezing. I don’t know if these NW winds will be able to evaporate rainfall off the roadways/sidewalks in time before temps drop to and below freezing again later this evening.
Curious to know where you’re pulling the “supposed to” from? And what temp they have for us now? It's not supposed to get below 32 until around Midnight in Atlanta. That should allow for plenty of time for the winds to help dry the roads.
Just looking at the Hourly Weather Graph on the National Weather Service website.Curious to know where you’re pulling the “supposed to” from? And what temp they have for us now?
Gotcha. Yeah so they think we’ll warm up a tad to 37 from the current 33 (which seems about right from my local station), and then start cooling again to get back to 31 by around 2am. Wonder if that’ll verify and whether they originally even thought we’d be at 33 right now in the first place.Just looking at the Hourly Weather Graph on the National Weather Service website.

Lmao. I’m sitting here through this disgusting event thinking about how we finally broke the streak on suppression only for next weekend to be suppressed so much that I have to endure watching eastern effing NC get their 10,000 storm in 3 years.
NW trend !

I hope so. If not, I’ll crash out and hope that eastern nc never sees a day below 110 this summer. And the mosquitos are the size of trucks.
