Misc General Banter Thread

Hopium thoughts for the day:
*Cad under modeled
*New data ingest for a flatter soln
*Front end is rain to snow...cools column more than modeled
*Warm nose has a real hard time taking over so mostly snow Saturday before sleet takes over.
Have seen this happen for projected sleet storms...not this big tho
I’ve mentioned this many times in this thread for areas along and north of 85 in the upstate. Models never seem to capture it well.

Jesus lol can’t even get it down into Atlanta. I’m sure they will add to this as we go but sucks when it would’ve been a lock 24 hours ago

The northwest counties of Georgia and adjacent counties in Alabama are least likely to be affected. I must not follow their thinking.

Baja low this morning.....

Since the Euro is apparently not going to run, let's take guesses on what it would've shown!

I bid for that I would've jumped at least another 100 miles north.

Lol of course they are. Probably trying to figure out the best way to screw us on THIS run.

I swear it would be hilarious if it went back 150 miles South, just to go back north at 00z just to go back south just to cut and screw everyone in the end from GA - MA. TBH though isn’t where it is now kind of just what it originally showed 6-8 days ago? When had like 3’ over IN ?

According to a Meteorologist in Atlanta on Facebook, it has to do with timing. Northwest Counties will get precipitation first.
That must be what it is, they will expand it east and south in 12 hours likely, model dependent of course.

Nah

“@57 slight improvement with the Baja slightest tick West, Northern Stream slightly improved let’s see what it means down stream”

“Solid improvement on that run guess we still in it”

“Terrible run, north trend continues”

In 3 straight post too

For those wondering what took place in the Western Carolinas during Dec 2002 ice storm.
Here's a snap shot.
Looks similar to what may unfold this weekend!
I'm praying for mostly sleet for everyone!
Btw I distinctly remember Hvy rain with a temp of 23° and the sound of fireworks in the background that night but it wasn't fireworks.
It was transformers popping.
Also it wasn't that cold after,
Which was a saving grace in this storm bc we didn't have power for 3 days.
My mom who lives on the side of a mountain a few miles away didn't have power for over a month!
