This is a strangest storm. I’m sitting at the coldest I’ve been the whole time (33) and now it’s just straight raining. Either way, I’m happy, there is probably 1-2 inches in the ground out there, and saw some of the biggest flakes I’ve seen fall in some time!

This storm is literally relying purely on dynamics for NE GA/Upstate SC/WNC. Extremely marginal airmass, even moreso than the ENC storm last month. Once you lose the rates or 925s warm up too much, you go straight to rain.

Honestly, one can make a argument this should've been a rainstorm for everyone outside of the mountains or higher elevation. Quite a unique setup.
