Yea, GFS brings back the clipper.
Some nerds up here are saying the first 2 weeks of February are gonna torch up here!
Not sure if I believe that!
the Canadian almost got 0c 850’s to Cancun Mexico at 12z 
incoming boys and girls. 
Clipper? It's gonna be cold
dialed unfortunately. Somebody getting snow next weekend

Honestly it looks like a classic weak Miller A southern event. No real big totals...mostly in the realm of 2-6 inches.

Those other models runs today were showing same similarities as the gfs
Slider type storm as depicted might be cool though. Hard to get a crippling amount of anything when that happens. On paper it’s a simple and doable setup. Our low that is about to give us the crippling ice storm moves off the Atlantic bombs and feeds the 50/50, then a clipper dives in and forms off the east coast and feeds the 50/50, flow jammed, big high pressure slides in behind the clipper, low forms near gulf. It’s already cold. We’ve got 0c 850’s in the Deep South with a low sliding west to east in the gulf. Cold overrunning dews east

This showing up as a possibility must be why I saw a GEFS panel that was an absolute mega bomb of snow when I was poking around (18z).
In all seriousness, as a southerner at heart, I’d rather not even though it’d be fascinating. What this run depicted would satisfy my hunger.
I also have to wonder if whether this truly will be the time that February stops torching, at least for half the month perhaps.

Looking at precip maps from the GEFS, probably gonna have a good 4" mean across lower MS, AL, GA if not higher.

Much lower. 1 member skewing it badly with a blizzard and we got 4 cutters. Gotta hope to get rid of the cutters but there are far more suppressed members than cutters.
