yeah... 6z wasnt nearly as cold as the 0zgfs run.... but i dont trust the 6z runs that far out to be honest...6z GFS has some noise around 17-19th, but it's not nearly cold enough, rain in PA!

Yeah just having a chance is nice versus the SE ridges of the last 2 December's.Yes sir.... at the very least it's gonna feel like Christmas if the pattern holds.

We are going into a solar minimum, solar minimums affect regional weather. With the solar min. and La Nina, this winter is going to be a wild ride. Which, some of us has already experience a wild ride with the recent winter storm. Buckle up! We're going to continue to see the PV come down into the lower latitudes. The PV will fluctuate, going back up into the higher latitudes at times. I think late this month into Jan-Feb is going to be brutal overall.
Hold on to your butts, I think we are about to do this again. Last night's Euro.

latest data i been going over ensembles n such...someone in the south may be in play for a icy situation... interesting around christmas time... with shallow layer artic air hanging around

The cold air looks like it wants to plunge into a narrow corridor within the trough itself, but it's so transient and quick. Wouldn't be surprised if all of the models moderated the air in that time period as well.

Im actually getting pumped again, Winterstorm December 8th was amazing and for that im thankful. Yes my kids has the flu over it, but they said it was worth getting sick over Lol. Anyways, im thinking were see a weenie run with the 2 week time frame with cold air around. The nex shot could very well be ICE.
Can't wait for another 1.5" of rain at 36!

12z UK has a 1011 low moving across the gulf coast turning into a 1007 low off the NC coast by hour 144. Can’t see temps yet.
