Boy it's flurrying good. I think it's dusting my truck a little but I wouldn't dare wake the puppy up to go investigate in detail. LOL!
Everybody would be mad as hell at me. HA! It's possible it's just dust I see on there but I don't think so.

Ended up with a solid coating on elevated surfaces, sidewalk, and some parts of the grass. Just happy knowing this arctic outbreak had something to show for it and I didnt get blanked this winter. Still waiting for my 3+ inch snowstorm thats nearly 10 years in the making now.

Solid coating in Cave Spring, Ga! Will walk down to the road later to see what it looks like. I imagine it’s covered too.
It IS dusting my truck. I snuck out the other door and walked around. I'm shocked since the radar looks pathetic. WIN WIN WIN!!! ?
Well this was a pleasant surprise about a half inch in downtown Ellijay at 1200 ft and about an inch at my house at 2000ft.
Just goes to show the models really struggle with these low moisture clippers. It’s crazy how a little better tilt will send you over the edge! Hopefully we cash in when the flips in mid January.

Ended up with a solid car topper…deck, driveway, grass & pavement have coatings. Not worth measuring but I’ll call this a trace.

Some Christmas weekend for me. Temps started plunging as school let out for the break. Friday was windy, we had power flickering in and out, and my driveway was littered with limbs. Christmas afternoon, a neighbor's pipe burst, so we has low water pressure all yesterday. Now there's a dusting on my roof and on the north-facing driveways.

The midnight crew - my kids - saw a few flakes fly here at the house, but nothing of substance. I'm actually OK with that; golf courses around here are re-opening later this morning, so a good day to enjoy temps in the 40s and at least 18 holes before heading to the Tennessee mountains tomorrow morning.

I suppose a solid dusting in Jasper. Maybe .25” (Sorry not very scenic pic!)
What makes it worse is that over here on Shop Rd, it was falling. But it wasn't even snow, it was sleet. We can't even get snow. Lol We got about 7 sleet pellets.
and the fact that it was a nice healthy band

Turned out to be between 3/4" and 1" up here. No measuring tape or ruler but I can estimate by the thickness of what's accumulated on the deck rail

Well, I got the roofs and bare patches covered with a dusting of sleet, so that ain't bad for a clipper. And made possible by a few nights of brutal cold. Let's have a repeat, only much more vigorous next time.
I ended up with a nice dusting, not bad considering my expectation beforehand was nothing.? Hopefully this is an encouraging sign for something more significant to come in the latter half of January.

Well, so ends the Big Cold of Dec 2022. Congratulations to everyone who saw snow the past few days! West of the Apps is still the place to be for snow. Even though I did not get any snow, I've very much enjoyed the cold. Here's to looking ahead a few weeks to our next shot!
Unfortunate us east of the mountains couldn’t cash in but we will get ours at some point this year. Congrats to everyone out west!
