at least it feels like Christmas here lol, only made it to 45 today with strong north winds, coldest actual high of the entire winter so far
Headed for low/mid 20s tonight
it was 80 last Christmas and in the 70s 2 years ago with a tornado outbreak the next day, so could be worse...

High was 35. It was way warmer last year and I'm glad we are the complete opposite of last year's Christmas.
High of 39 here, definitely the coldest Christmas since 2010 when it was a white one that year.
Also is that virga out west in AL or is there is any ground truth to it?

That's what I'm wondering too. Some of it looks like it could drop a flake or two.
The precip is called "Marginal" on the Weather.us radar. But who knows!

Christmas observation in LaFayette:
We hung around freezing all day and it was a little cloudy. At one point I joked with my dad about how the "imaginary snow is up there".
The next day as we were leaving it was very bright and it didn't even feel as cold as it was midafternoon Christmas.

Gotta say I’m impressed with this arctic blast so far. I heard this is the coldest start to New Year’s Day since 1977! Right now it’s cloudy 19 degrees/wind chill is 4. Not sure why we’re not under a Wind Chill Advisory,but whatever. Looking outside this morning makes me wish the NYD storm worked out even more now. *sighs*
